A New Chapter in Service: My Journey as Volunteer Outreach Specialist

Hello, friends of Echoing Hills! My name is Camille Adams, and I’m thrilled to step into
a brand-new role here as Volunteer Outreach Specialist.  After more than 23 years
with Echoing Hills Village, Inc., this next chapter feels both exciting and deeply
meaningful

For over two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working directly with our incredible
individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges. Each day has reminded me
why our mission matters – it’s about people, purpose, and possibility. I’ve witnessed
countless moments of joy, growth, and connection, and it has truly been an honor to
serve.

Now, as I transition into this new position, my heart is focused on expanding that same
sense of connection outward – into our communities, families, and volunteer network.

Our vision for this role is simple but powerful: to build bridges between
Echoing Hills and the wider community, creating opportunities for people
to experience the joy of service firsthand.

Volunteering holds a special kind of magic. It changes lives – not only for those
receiving support, but for those who give it. When we volunteer, we step outside
ourselves and into a space of compassion, understanding, and shared purpose.
We discover new perspectives, new friendships, and new strengths we
didn’t know we had.  Most importantly, we become
part of something bigger – a community that believes in dignity, inclusion, and hope.

That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others find their place here. Whether it’s a
few hours a month or an ongoing commitment, every volunteer brings a unique light that
helps Echoing Hills shine even brighter.

As this role takes shape, I’m eager to listen, learn, and grow together with our amazing
staff and volunteers. I believe that by working side by side, we can create a community
where everyone belongs and every act of kindness makes a lasting impact.
