Boom Radio: EchoingU Students Take the Mic

Students from EchoingU of Northern Ohio recently had an exciting opportunity. They got to explore their hobbies and talents at BOOM
Radio at Lorain County Community College. This hands-on experience gave students a chance to step into a professional studio environment. They discovered new ways to express themselves.

With guidance from Deejay Matt, students eagerly stepped up to the mic. Each one bringing their own personality and creativity to the moment. Some shared original poems, while others delivered weather reports and dedicated songs. They enjoyed moving and dancing along to the music. The atmosphere was filled with energy, encouragement, and a sense of pride. Students found their voices and embraced the experience.

In the recording studio. A few students took things even further by sharing thoughtful relationship advice and acknowledging upcoming religious holidays. They reflected on family traditions and personal experiences, creating meaningful content that was both heartfelt and authentic. These moments highlighted not only their creativity, but also their ability to connect with others in a genuine way.

Following the recording sessions, students were guided through the production process. They learned how to add background music, adjust sound levels, and finalize their recordings, gaining valuable technical skills along the way. Seeing their projects come together from start to finish was both exciting and empowering.

Adding to the inspiration, students learned that Deejay Matt has worked on a project with Randy Travis and has built connections with many other talented artists throughout his career. This connection to the professional music world made the experience even more impactful.
