Meet Lindsey! Lindsey has worked at Echoing Hills Community Living of Northern Ohio since November of 2021. Although with Echoing Hills for a short time, Lindsey has already made an impact through her calm and caring personality!
What Is Your Job Title?
I am a Direct Support Professional (DSP); however, I have my degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant and look forward to using that here at Echoing Hills.
What Does Your Job Entail?
I love my job. Mornings find me assisting individuals in getting up and ready for the day. I drive a few of the gentlemen I serve to work and enjoy this time as we listen to music and jam out together. Cleaning rooms, putting laundry away, and partaking in activities make up a typical day. We go on a lot of outings in our community. Our favorites always involve eating out as this is a house of men that loves their food!
What Three Words Would Describe You?
Caring, Compassionate, and Goofy.
What Are Your Hobbies and Interests?
I love spending time with my daughters (13 and 5). I enjoy working on the farm and taking care of animals. My hobbies also include crocheting, fishing, and going to the beach.
Where Do You Find Encouragement?
God, my family (who are VERY loving and supportive), and those I serve all encourage me. If I am ever having a bad day, I can come to work and know that all my worries will go away being around the individuals that live here.
What Do You Believe Are Your God-Given Talents?
I have a loving and caring heart. I’m someone who can’t say ‘no.’ I have always been a caretaker and always look for ways to help others. I am also someone who can make others laugh.
How Do You Inspire Others?
Letting my light shine inspires others. I am always smiling, encouraging others, and showing someone their worth. I am good at pep talks!
What Is Your Favorite Thing About Echoing Hills?
Being a Christian organization attracted me to Echoing Hills. Since being here, I can say that one of my favorite things is the staff. To work in our industry, you have to be caring and empathetic. Those who work here are just that!
