It is almost the Fourth of July! Each year, Americans spend this holiday celebrating, reflecting on freedom, and of course, enjoying great food.

We do the same at Echoing Hills – a place where individuals with disabilities have the freedom to achieve their highest potential through living, learning, connecting, playing, and worshipping!

What do those we serve think about the holiday and the freedoms Echoing Hills provides them? We asked them a few questions to find out more.

 

How Do/Will You Celebrate the Holiday?
Jen M (Echoing Connections) – “Spending time with my family.”

James J (Echoing Connections) – “Watching baseball and relaxing.”

Jamie A (Community Living and Echoing Connections) – “Eating ribs or hot dogs on our new grill.”

Pat O (Community Living and Echoing Connections) – “Watching baseball.”

Denise E (Community Living and Echoing Connections) – “Watching fireworks.”

John F (Community Living) – “Can we go to the boom-boom?  Gi-nik!  Kumungus right up here in the sky!  Yes you do have to march in the parade!”  (This is John referring to the fireworks which are his absolute favorite part of the celebration.)

David M (Community Living) – “We have always had a cookout, camping, and fireworks with family. This is my first year at Echoing Hills, but I have heard we will have a cookout.”
