Echoing Hills Celebrates Team Members That Show Fruit of the Spirit, Kindness
“What is desired in a man is kindness.” – Proverbs 19:22
Philippians 2:3-4 explains that we were born to show kindness. “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
In a world full of disrespect, isn’t it great to show and receive kindness?
This month, we celebrate a few team members of Echoing Hills that are examples of this Fruit of the Spirit!
Andrea – LPN Supervisor
“Andrea goes above and beyond for our staff. She listens to them whenever they need to talk. She also has taken time during her days off to help our staff get where they need to be, help them with car trouble, or anything else they may need. Andrea isn’t afraid to help anyone in need, even if that person is not in her department. She has covered shifts in the kitchen and as a DSP. She is a great role model to everyone of what true kindness looks like and helping each other when needed.”
Amanda – Waiver Home Manager
“Amanda is the picture of kindness. She is always gracious in the most difficult of times – especially with the staff shortages. Amanda steps up and is always positive and kind to all around. She is always willing to listen. She understands every situation when it comes to individual’s needs and corporate policies. Amanda is empathic and shows appreciation for her team, which has developed trust in her relationships with staff, individuals, and family members. Amanda is an asset to Echoing Hills and is a true example of kindness.”
Diana – Dietary Aide
“Diana is so sweet and is great with the individuals we serve. She shows kindness by doing little things for the individuals served. For example, Diana plans a special birthday party (decorations, special meal, and cake/ice cream) every month. This celebration is something that makes the individuals’ birthdays special and makes them feel special too. She does this even on the days she is not scheduled to work. She makes sure the individuals know their birthday is important to everyone.”
Exzayvya – Direct Support Professional (DSP)
“Zay has a bubbly personality. She takes time to welcome each individual as they arrive at Echoing Connections each day. Zay often compliments them, saying kind, encouraging words. She treats everyone like friends. Even in challenging situations, Zay exhibits kindness. She always offers to help co-workers and is a wonderful team member.”
