A Little Bit Brighter

A Little Bit Brighter

“You can cut all the flowers, but you cannot keep spring from coming.” -Pablo Neruda, poet

Cherishing a desire with anticipation – this is what it means to have hope. Confident expectation builds faith. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Our hope is in the Lord. As 1 Peter 3:15 explains, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to answer everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” The confidence produced by faith grows through perseverance.

Why wait faithfully? Because, as Romans 8:24-25 describes, “For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”

Patience – everyone’s favorite work. Ok, not really. No one looks forward to having opportunities to grow in this fruit of the Spirit that we’re called to produce. However, most of the greatest blessings in life start as incredibly difficult. Gratitude, joy, and endurance stem from a belief that circumstances will become brighter.

Is your cup running low? Do circumstances appear dark? Are you feeling discouraged?  Don’t be afraid!

  • Pray to God
  • Ask for help
  • Listen to his guidance

Remember there’s someone who never disappoints, never changes, and never leaves. Talk to the one who is always faithful, loving, and welcoming – the one who created your inmost being. Pray to the Lord! You are seen, known, and valued.

At Echoing Hills, we place a strong focus on faith and Christ. We provide individuals and families we serve, as well as our team, with a sense of confidence for their future.
