A Servant’s Heart

A Servant’s Heart

At Echoing Hills, we aim to produce FRUIT –  Focusing on our mission; Revolutionizing lives through living, learning, connecting, playing, and worshiping; Uniting together with those we serve; Identifying misconceptions about those with disabilities, and Trusting God with our community.

Live
Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) have multiple individuals living together with staff available 24 hours a day. When living in an ICF, hygiene services, assistance with chores, transportation, meals, and utilities are included. Waivers provide financial support for an individual who lives independently, with family or friends, or in a group setting. Services are similar to an ICF in which the individual chooses their service provider(s). Individuals with waivers are responsible for paying utilities and food.

Learn
EchoingU creates professional development opportunities for those with disabilities. This program centers around community interaction and volunteer experiences. These experiences include volunteering with nonprofits, speaking with business professionals, and touring local businesses. This program blends educational classroom instruction with daily living skills. The EchoingU programs are in Northern, Northeast, and Southwest Ohio.

Connect
Echoing Connections is located in Central, Northeast, Southeast, and Southwest Ohio. This program focuses on personal and professional exploration. Individuals of diverse backgrounds explore their interests and engage with their local communities. Those involved at Echoing Hills can further their learning and increase their independence through the Echoing Hills Connections Program.

Play
Swimming, archery, side-by-side rides, axe throwing – and more! There are many opportunities for play at Camp Echoing Hills. From June 9th through August 2nd, mission-minded people aim to help individuals experience Jesus Christ through recreational activities. Volunteers are the backbone of the camp. They help with behind-the-scenes tasks so staff can provide the care individuals need. Camp cares for a wide range of disabilities – mild, moderate, and severe based on the need for assistance.

Worship
At Echoing Hills, our greatest desire is to share our faith by fulfilling our purpose of “creating opportunities for people to know and experience Jesus Christ.” Camp Echoing Hills started when founder Cordell Brown heard directly from God. He was inspired by a friend to start a camp for those with disabilities. To this day, Echoing Hills believes faith makes a difference, honoring the vision that started it all through a culture devoted to the fruit of the Spirit.
