What Is Your Job Title?
I am a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
What Does Your Job Entail?
Our days can vary; however, there are certain things we try to do every day, like starting with devotions and time for “this day in history.” We enjoy crockpot cooking on Mondays and activities like making homemade butter and applesauce, conducting science experiments, playing games, and making bracelets. We enjoy taking walks on our beautiful campus and sitting outside.
What Three Words Would Describe You?
Patient, Caring, Upbeat.
What Are Your Hobbies and Interests?
I enjoy flower gardening, riding side-by-sides, and loving on my dog Mickey. I also enjoy making crafts. One of my favorite activities involved a wine and craft night at a local winery.
Where Do You Find Encouragement?
Encouragement finds me through my daily devotions. I do one at work as well as one at home. I have an app to remind me of my devotion time. A church bell alarm goes off, the perfect reminder!
What Do You Believe Are Your God-Given Talents?
I believe my talent is my ability to make others feel good. Singing is also a talent. However, be warned. It is not my voice but the music in my heart where the true talent lies!
How Do You Inspire Others?
I inspire others by encouraging them to try different things. I always want to help people chase their dreams.
What Is Your Favorite Thing About Echoing Hills?
My favorite thing, serving the individuals! I am here to support and teach them; however, they teach me much more!
