Meet Susan – EchoingU

Meet Susan – Takes Leap of Faith Coming to EchoingU

Compassionate, Caring, and Empathetic!

Susan is a Classroom Coordinator at EchoingU of Northeast Ohio. Although she has only been with the organization for eight months, she has already made a lasting impact.

For the last 30 years, Susan has worked in the retail and restaurant industries. During COVID, she was finding it hard to find good employees. Susan realized she was ready for a change and asked God to bring her a rewarding job.

“I turned in my two-week resignation without another job lined up,” shares Susan. “My step-sister was in town from Florida, and I was visiting with her. She had worked for Echoing Hills prior to her move. She suggested I reach out to learn about possible openings. It was a total God thing.”
In her position, Susan coaches and forms relationships with those she serves. On any given day, you can find Susan teaching, going on outings, and making everything she does person-centered. She enjoys serving and helping the students grow.
“Everyone faces different challenges,” Susan says. “I love to help with these challenges, and I love to see the smiles when someone accomplishes a goal.”
Susan has found the past eight months to be very gratifying. She feels like she belongs in her new position.

“This is an emotionally rewarding job. It is such a happy environment with a lot of learning and fun. Seeing the joy in individuals and building relationships with one another is amazing. I love that you don’t have to be perfect to be here – come as you are!”

When not making a difference at EchoingU, you can find Susan spending time with her family, grabbing coffee with friends, or taking walks.
