Community Living of Central Ohio had its annual Valentine’s party on February 12. This year’s party was a little more joyful thanks to the outpour of love from the community.

As we shared in our blog Cristy – An Example of Love at Echoing Hills, employees, their family and friends, and community members provided treats, decorations, and over 300 valentine cards and pictures to Echoing Hills. Direct Support Professionals from Community Living and Echoing Connections of Central Ohio took these items to create a special party for the individuals we serve.

Banners and fabric snowflakes of reds, pinks, and whites hung throughout, creating a perfect backdrop to the party devoted to love. Individuals received homemade cards and treats while enjoying valentine’s themed crafts. The day, and treats, brought a lot of excitement and joy.

“There are a lot of really creative people in the world,” shares Jeff, an individual who lives at Echoing Hills. “Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.”

Jackie Householder, Program Director for Echoing Hills of Central Ohio shared the individuals always enjoy their parties; however, this one was even more special. She has seen the generosity from the community before, but this was astonishing.
“I was overwhelmed by the number of valentines and decorations we received,” says Jackie. “Boxes of valentines, decorations, candy, and activities covered part of my office. These items, given with love, brought a lot of joy to those we serve.”
