Kind, Hardworking, and Caring – meet Shane!
Shane was praying for a way to make a difference through generosity. His prayer was answered when he discovered an Echoing Hills job posting online. What began as a search for direction turned into a director’s position. As of early January, he now serves as the Regional Director of Echoing Hills in Northeast Ohio.
Connecting to the mission of revolutionizing lives, he explains, “Everyone is growing every single day. I want us as a team to change with them, helping them reach their goals, and live the life they want. Together we can make an impact and change lives for the better.”
In his roles as QIDP, Home Manager, Service Support Administrator, and Behavior Support Specialist working for Hattie Larlham and county boards, he learned time management, problem-solving, and leadership skills. His passion for serving individuals with disabilities started because of family, having both a godson and a great nephew with cerebral palsy.
Since starting with Echoing Hills, Shane has been busy! His responsibilities include traveling to the organization’s five regions, learning the position, and getting to know the team – ensuring they have the necessary supplies and verifying all processes are running smoothly.
Married in 2011, Shane and his wife have two kids: a son (12) and a daughter (7). In his free time, he likes to play golf, as well as coach his son’s wrestling team. He enjoys staying active and quality time with those he loves.
Shane is looking forward to this new start at Echoing Hills, including attending an upcoming conference where he will fly for the first time. Ultimately, he looks forward to serving people in a faith-based community.
“I am looking forward to spending time with the individuals we serve. It’s been amazing so far!”
